Goat Milk in Oils Cold Process Soap

INGREDIENTS:
Olive Oil 40%
Coconut Oil 23%
Shea Butter 18%
Cocoa Butter 7%
Avocado Oil 6%
Castor Oil 6%
Water 137g + 14g extra (to help dissolve lye)

Lye 137 g
Measure most of the weight of water in ice cubes, adding water to make up the remainder until it reaches the weight needed. Dissolve the lye in the ice cubes, adding just half to begin with and then adding the remainder once the ice begins to move freely. This helps keep the temperature of the solution low. Set aside to cool.
Measure out the oils, starting with cocoa butter, then coconut oil and shea butter. Melt the solid oils. Measure remaining oils and add to the solid oils. Pour on a slant or the side of the bowl to minimize air bubbles. Take a break to allow the oils and lye solution to cool to temp between 75 and 80 degrees.
Once oils have cooled, measure out goat milk and blend into oils, using stick blender to fully incorporate. Check temperature of the solution. Then check temperature of the lye solution. Since the lye concentration is stronger, it will most likely be cloudy and perhaps a few grains undissolved in the bottom. It should be fine but if you are concerned, you can strain it into oils.
Once added to the oils, blend to trace. Check the temperature to make sure it doesn't go over 100 degrees. You can also use an ice bath to help maintain lower temperature.
Add essential oils at this point or leave them out altogether. Continue to blend until soap reaches a medium trace. Pour into mold, again using the spoon or spatula shaft to pour down to minimize air bubbles. Tap mold down to remove air bubbles.
To make sure soap gels, form a piece of cardboard in triangle shape to cover the top of soap. Cover with bubble wrap to prevent soda ash from forming. Insulate in a towel and leave for 2 full days. Unmold and cut the soap after 48 hrs.
NOTE: If temp of soap is 100 degrees or more, you won't need to insulate.
