Needed Ingredients

Water + Lye

513.80 g Water

199.81 g 100% Purity NaOH

Oils

715.35 g Olive Oil - All Grades

74.85 g Ricinus Oil (Castor Oil)

298.05 g Coconut Oil, 76 deg

262.20 g Palm Oil

149.55 g Karite Butter (Shea)

Additives + Additional Ingredients

12 gram sugar (4 grams of sugar per 500 grams of oil)

10 gram clay white (approximately 2-4 grams per 500 grams of oil).

White Mica (0.5 to 1 gram or 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of mica per 500 grams of oil mica per 500 grams of oils.

Sodium Lactate (60%) at 2% = 29.89 Gram(s) OR alternatively use 30g himalayan pink salt (about 5 to 10 grams per 500 grams of oil)

Citric Acid Powder at 2% = 29.89 Gram(s)

Extra Lye to Neutralize Citric Acid Powder 2% NaOH: 18.87 Gram(s) + 201.08g = 219.95g

2 batches of 1100g

Fragrance oils (Maximum Level of use (%) for IFRA Category 9 (soap). I used the total weight of the finished soap (not only oils)

  1. Mix of Christmas Spice & Vanilla fragrance:
  2. Christmas Spice Maximum Level of use (%) is 13.24%; max 145.64g but I have only 100g
  3. Vanilla - Maximum Level of use (%) is 48%; max 165.28g but I have only 10g
  4. Spiced Orange - max level of use is 2.17%, 23.87 grams

Mica powder usage (Pre-mix with a Light Oil):

  • 0.5 to 1 gram of mica powder (or 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of mica per 500 grams of oils)
  • for a deeper colour, you can increase slightly but try not to exceed 1.5 teaspoons per 500 grams of oils
  • White mica powder - ~2 teaspoons or 2.2 grams for 1100g
  • Orange mica powder: ~2 teaspoons or 2.2 grams for 1100g

Notes:

Lye Concentration % at 28% - may speed up the trace (the default is 25%)
