Neem Soap
Recipe Instructions
Citric Acid (@2%) - add to distilled water BEFORE adding lye.
Additional Lye (@2%) - needed to neutralize citric acid. Add extra amount along with required lye amount to distilled water.
Dried Neem Leaves (@~7%) - add to hot lye water AFTER all lye has dissolved & let leaves dissolve as the lye water cools down.
Sodium Lactate (@2%) - add to lye water AFTER straining neem leaves and allowing lye solution to cool below 100 degrees.
Sugar Concentrate (@2%) - add to soap batter at light trace BEFORE adding fragrance. Blend in well by hand.
Fragrance (@~4%, optional) - add to soap batter at light trace. Blend well by hand.
