Needed Ingredients

Water + Lye

304 g Water

108.73 g 100% Purity NaOH

Oils

350 g Tallow, Beef

125 g Cocoa Butter

125 g Coconut Oil, Virgin

10 g Beeswax, White & Yellow

5 g Stearic Acid (100% Pure)

80 g Pumpkin Seed Oil

40 g Castor Seed Oil

30 g Meadowfoam Oil

20 g Safflower Oil, High Linoleic

10 g Apricot Kernel Oil

5 g Neem Oil

Additives + Additional Ingredients

16 gram Sodium lactate 60% solution

12 gram Citric acid

10 gram Essential oil

6.60 gram Moringa powder (for 55%)

3.60 gram Titanium oxide (for 30%)

1.80 gram Mica - clementine orange (for 15%)

18 gram Vegetable glycerine

Recipe Instructions

Objective

Using up oils to make chunky bars with masculine frag

Additive Ingredients (800 grams of oils for 1.2 kg soap loaf mould)

  • 16 g Sodium lactate 60% solution
  • Essential oils (approx. 10 g)
  • 2.5 g Juniper
  • 0.6 g Buchu
  • 2.0 g Katafray
  • 2.5 g Cedarwood (Atlas)
  • 1.5 g Cedarwood (Virginia)
  • 0.6 g Cade wood
  • 0.3 g Seaweed Absolute
  • 12 g Citric acid
  • 12 g Moringa / titanium oxide / mica
  • 18 g Vegetable glycerine


Method


Splash swirl second attempt (3 colours only) using tool fashioned from straw threaded on a wire coat hanger to dip and drag colours upward along the whole length of the mould to be made in advance!!!

Prepare lye

  • measure distilled water, weigh sodium hydroxide 304 g / 110 g (+7.5 g for 12 g citric acid offset)
  • add sodium hydroxide to distilled water and set aside in well ventilated area

Measure sodium lactate (16 g)

Measure citric acid (12 g)

  • note: if using ensure extra 5 g sodium hydroxide is used in lye preparation

Prepare oils

  • weigh & melt hard oils
  • weigh liquid oils
  • add liquid oils to melted hard oils

Prepare moringa / titanium oxide / mica (vegetable glycerine 1.5:1 additive)

using 3 additives (1 g per 100 g) for rounded total pre-cook soap weight (1200 g) divided 55%, 30%, 15%

  • 6.6 g Moringa powder
  • 3.6 g Titanium oxide
  • 1.8 g Mica - clementine orange

When lye cools to 32 degrees centigrade

  • add sodium lactate

Blend the batter

  • add lye water to oil
  • whizz to thin trace
  • add essential oils
  • add citric acid
  • gentle hand blend (whisk) a little bit more, aim for pourable trace!

Divide the batter & blend colourant additives

  • 180 g (mica)
  • 360 g (titanium oxide
  • 660 g (moringa)

Pour, swirl, smack (bubble elimination), remove silicon from wood case (glycerine rivers control), allow 24 hours before cutting

Cure for 4-6 weeks
