Recipe Instructions

  1. add lye solution and hand blend until fully emulsified and thickens, scraping sides often
  2. keep mixing until thickens to mashed potato consistency (around 8 minutes of mixing)
  3. cook for 3 hours in total approx, mix every 30 minutes (lid on) and until translucent
  4. keep going until you get vaseline look thick lump.
  5. let it cool and move to a container
  6. water dilution test - if milky means not cooked enough. if little cloudy could be because of oil used).

PH is too high for face (10)- use citric acid 20:80 solution to bring the alkanity lower but do not over use as it will clump the soap. maybe approx 2 tsp to bring down to (9). -if making face wash - add 500ml of water to 100g of soap base and melt together. add other things if you wish and preservative.
