Needed Ingredients

Water + Lye

380 g Water

136.04 g 100% Purity NaOH

Oils

800 g Olive Oil - All Grades

200 g Coconut Oil, Virgin

Additives + Additional Ingredients

50 gram organic brown sugar (5%) add to cooled lye solution

50 gram sodium lactate (5%) add to cooled lye solution

12 gram himalayan salt (1.2%) add to cooled lye solution

20 gram guar gum (2% for thickening)

400 gram vegetable glycerine (40% thickener)

65 gram citric acid (6.5% neutraliser)

15 gram 0.01% of total finished product (natural preservative)

75 gram distilled water to mix citric acid (7.5%)

Recipe Instructions

  • day 2 - dilution = 3.5l water to every 1 litre of oil, mix guar gum and glycerine overnight to hydrate.
  • day 3 - add citric acid solution slowly until desired ph level of 9 - mix with blender stick
  • add guar gum and glycerine (thickener) after citric acid
  • lastly add the grapeseed oil extract at 0.01% of finished weight

note: glycerine is important as it is water soluble and will not stain clothes.- plus it adds hydration.
